New leaves start out bright red then transition to burgundy and finally dark green as they harden off.
These are one of my all time favorite philodendrons! New leaves emerge in a dark chocolate color, as they mature they turn bright red and then change once again to emerald green. You will never get tired of watching this plant grow.
Philodendron are fairly easy to care for. The right soil can go a long way in aiding their growth. They prefer a light airy soil that can also retain moisture. Check out our soil mix specially made for epiphytic plant! https://parksplaceplants.com/Aroid-Soil-Mix-p23457...

Contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals similar to other plants in the Araceae family. Chewing or biting into this plant will release these crystals causing tissue penetration and irritation the mouth and GI tract. VERY rarely, swelling of the upper airway occurs making it difficult to breathe. For more information please visit https://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/poison/philodend...
